Tull Suwannakit is a multi-award winning children’s book author and illustrator whose books have been published in Australia, New Zealand, UK, USA, and Thailand, as well as being translated into more than 6 languages worldwide.

His latest picture book, What Happens Next?, published by Walker Books, has received critical acclaim from ABC News, Sydney Morning Herald and has been included as part of the Australian Children’s Book Illustration Exhibition: Showcasing Notable Picture Books 2013-2014, in Bologna, Italy.

Tull’s art practice further expands into fine art, where he explores themes of alienation and displacement through staged narratives of non-linear taxidermy animals within urban environments. Tull utilizes his background in illustration and storytelling together with taxidermy in depicting scenes of animal dislocation that contain ironic, metaphoric and illustrative qualities.

Michael Carolan is a Melbourne-based educational writer who has had extensive professional experience in education, business and social enterprise.

He has successfully operated a self-funded and self-managed writing and publishing enterprise for 13 years. He can, and indeed does, write ‘other’ words on occasion.

As a visual artist he focuses on installation and site-specific works that incorporate and blend digital, video, 3D, sound and text-based media. Using this interdisplinary approach his works aim to investigate issues surrounding the conventions that govern hierarchies, systems, structures and the use of language.
